Informace

We'll see next volumes of Breakbeat Conference in following weeks.
At the moment we're looking up to 22nd February which is a day to see Koma&Bones (TCR) DJing in Radost FX. Another date, we can proudly announce is 7th March, when allmighty Lee Coombs and TCR boss Rennie Pilgrem are coming to Abaton.

Breakbeat Conference:
Breakbeat Conference is a regular Prague's club event, where we want to introduce the biggest world's delegates of breakbeat culture like Rennie Pilgrem, Koma & Bones, Krafty Kuts, Soul Of Man, Adam Freeland, ... You can also listen to our vibes on Radio 1 Prague where Josef Sedloň and DJ Kaplick set a regular show (Tue 6-7 PM), as they present the hottest stuff at the breakbeat scene.

KOMA AND BONES (TCR, UK):

Komabones Koma & Bones are a three man outfit from the north west comprising of the dj'ing duo Koma & Bones - Christopher Kirkbride + Andrew Duckmanton and former drum and bass producer Proteus. Brought together by a deep love of twisted breakbeat the trio started to produce the kind of records that they wanted to play in their dj sets.

Things started to happen for them when they remixed the classic 'God Within' track - by Phoenix on Dorigen music. The mix went on to become an anthem in America.

Remixes quickly followed with commissions from Hope Recordings, Carbon Records and Freakaboom. Their own solo work also began to turn heads, with releases on Dorigen music, Freakaboom and the highly acclaimed 'Powercut' on TCR. Strong support from Hybrid, Adam Freeland, Rennie Pilgrem, Blim, Tayo and Hyper and many others suggested the threesome had something to say.

Last year Koma & Bones unleashed their own label - Forged Recordings (which have become highly sought after on both sides of the Atlantic) whilst continuing to release their own material on the scene's leading label TCR. Possibly their biggest tune to date - 'Morpheus' was released as part of the TCR 50 package. It was a monster of a track with support not just from the breaks scene but also many house djs. Koma + Bones had well and truly arrived. Next came their interpretation of the radio-friendly Beber + Tamra tune 'Travellin On' for Mob, followed swiftly by a mix CD on Street Beat and a Y4K album for Distinctive Breaks.

Their highly-acclaimed debut artist album 'Blinded By Science', was released last year on TCR and the boys will be releasing the highly anticipated second album on TCR in 2003. Their profile has been raised further with their amazing remix of Kosheen's 'Hide U' which Rennie Pilgrem recently used on his 'Tribalizm' album and by a remix of X-Press 2's 'Smoke Machine' which helped earn them the title of 'Best Breaks Remixers of 2002' by Remix magazine in the USA. To top off a successful year, Koma&Bones achieved a dream when they were asked to remix New Order's 'Confusion'.
